I guess I have some catching up to do since I have currently been living in New Zealand for exactly 5 weeks and one day today. Lets see where to begin...
Carly had her baby the day I arrived! It was even a home birth, (crazy I know, but Carly loved it) so it felt pretty intimate walking into Carly's house to greet the new baby with the whole family! The Reids are seriously great, they welcomed me with open arms! Literally (see picture below ;))
This is me the first time I held Breana, I didn't feel like I had earned my time to hold the brand new baby yet! But I am glad I got to! haha aren't new borns the best!?
Then somewhere between me arriving and now the Reids took me to an amazing beach! (many beaches actually, oh btw we live on an island.)
I liked to pride myself in the fact that I never suffered from jet lag, then I found these pictures and was reminded as to why I couldn't remember the beach much...
It has been different then I expected. It's a grand adventure for sure but it is also real life. I am not constantly seeing new things, although I am often getting lost ;) I work and I make friends and I go to institute and it is winter time and it's cold. But I feel like I am supposed to be here. Good things are going to happen I can feel it in my bones! :)
Keri! You are so funny! Dad and I wondered why you hadn't told us about going to the beach. Jarom mentioned it in the hall at church one day and we were like "...ahhh, no, she didn't mention it." Pictures are worth a thousand words! Eyes closed, jet lag....explains everything!
